We are a dedicated team focused on thoroughly enhancing the lives of captive animals by providing enriching experiences. Through thoughtful strategies and one-on-one consultations, we offer a unique approach to animal welfare.

By becoming a member, you play a vital role in our mission. Your generous support allows us to:
- Source natural materials: We provide a variety of stimulating natural materials that mimic each animal’s relevant habitat. This encourages exploration and foraging and gives animals the choice to self-select remedies and natural elements that support their wellbeing and can even provide healing and homeostasis under their very stressful conditions. We source and use only the highest quality materials to deliver maximum efficacy and the greatest possible positive change. We prefer to source locally as often as we can, but always prioritise the quality of the materials we offer animals.
- Conduct in-depth consultations: Our team of experts works directly with sanctuary staff and animals to create bespoke enrichment programs. We create detailed individualised strategies that are wholly focused on increasing the wellbeing, general physical health and emotional states of the animals that we work with
- Empower animal caregivers: We train staff on enrichment techniques, ensuring animals receive continued stimulation and focus on their wellbeing long after our initial visit.
Membership Options
We offer two membership tiers, allowing you to choose the level of impact you wish to make. Both memberships express your deep commitment to the welfare of captive animals and come with our immense gratitude.
Tier 1: CAEP 'Advocate' (R10,000 per year)
- Directly contribute to the sourcing of enriching materials, fostering a stimulating environment for animals.
- Receive regular updates showcasing the positive impact your contribution is making on specific animals.
Tier 2: CAEP ‘Instigator’ (R20,000 per year)
- Enjoy all the benefits of Tier 1 membership.
- Gain exclusive access to behind the scenes footage, giving you a deeper understanding of the work that we do.
CAEP SPARKS CHANGE
